Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

A total laparoscopic hysterectomy is known as the laparoscopic surgery of the arteries which belong to the ovary and veins with the removal of uterus, either through the vagina or the abdomen, along with the closure of vaginal cuff through laparoscopy. This method is a little bit different from the techniques of removing the uterus, fallopian tube and ovaries. The only point of difference between other methods and laparoscopic hysterectomy is the cervix, which is separated after asphyxiation of the ascending vascular pedicles. After the completion of the procedure, laparoscopies are inserted to see the abdomen and vaginal cuff for adequate hemostasis.

Although, proper uterine descent is needed to perform the vaginal portion of the procedure with safety, the indication of total laparoscopic hysterectomy might include leiomyomata, prolapsing of pelvic organs and abnormally bleeding uterine. As observed by some extensive cases of gynecologic literature, laparoscopic hysterectomy can also reflect the need of surgery and reduction of malignant and pre malignant disease to a possible extent. There are several situations in which laparoscopic hysterectomy is considered useful for the people especially in those cases in which vaginal hysterectomy is difficult.

Laparoscopic Cystectomy

Cystectomy is a surgical process which is performed for the removal of ovarian cyst through laparoscopy or open surgery. This process is generally performed under normal anesthesia and laparoscope is inserted inside the body through an incision made below the navel. Laparoscope is used to see the pelvis and abdomen by your doctor. This process of laparoscopic cystectomy removes the cyst leaving the ovaries unharmed but if the cysts are too big then ovaries are also removed in the surgery along with the cyst.
